Judie M. Block celebrates three years as a clinical applications manager for the Hospital Corporation of America

With three years of experience as a clinical applications manager for the Hospital Corporation of America, Judie M. Block is responsible for overseeing daily operations and ongoing system applications, applying clinical research knowledge, participating in the implementation, validation and maintenance of new and existing markets, maintaining awareness and understanding of technological advances, handling clinical software issues, and participating in an environment that encourages information sharing, team-based resolutions and process improvement within the department or area managed to ensure effectiveness. She became involved in her position after being recognized for her skills and knowledge in neonatal intensive care nursing and medical auditing. As she commemorates her 12th year in the healthcare industry, Ms. Block attributes her success to her ability to learn new technologies and reinvent herself to suit changing dynamics.

Ms. Block received her Bachelor of Applied Studies in Computer Information Systems, Summa Cum Laude, from the University of Richmond in 2009, having previously received her Diploma in Nursing from St. Luke's Hospital, MN in 1978. She is a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society.
