Comtrol Europe releases a new PoE Splitter

BICESTER, ENGLAND, July 09, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Comtrol Europe has now added to its RocketLinx PoE switch a PoE Splitter. This new products allows users of non PoE products to link into the RocketLinx PoE switch and draw up to 24watts of power off the network.
Using the Comtrol PoE Splitter greatly simplifies the installation of Ethernet linked devices as they are no longer constrained by the lack of power as this can be fed along the Ethernet cable. This means that it is easier to install network devices such as video cameras, access control systems, etc in areas where power is not available thus reducing installation costs.
Tony Elvidge, VP Sales and Marketing at Comtrol commented "With the new PoE Splitter installing Ethernet based camera and access control equipment is quick, simple and cost effective. This equipment can be placed virtually anywhere with out the need to run additional power cables."
